Research In Motion (RIM) is the designer and manufacturer of the award-winning BlackBerry® smartphone, used by millions of people around the world. The company also creates solutions for the worldwide mobile communications market, including the software that allows the BlackBerry smartphone to provide mobile access to email, applications, media and the Internet.
RIM believes that it is important to give back to the local, national and global communities in which we operate. The primary focus of RIM’s corporate philanthropy program is outreach to students in science, engineering and business programs.
All of RIM’s corporate philanthropy contributions are evaluated via an online application process. Please complete the RIM Corporate Philanthropy Application Form to provide information about your organization, your government-registered charitable or not-for-profit number, the purpose or goal of the funding and contact information. Each application will be assessed as quickly as possible. It usually takes a minimum of six weeks between submission of the online request and the date funding is required.
All organizations requesting donations from RIM should review our Corporate Philanthropy Eligibility Criteria to determine if their project or organization are a good fit for the focus of RIM’s program.
Due to the number of requests received, RIM can only respond to successful funding requests.
