Grant Declination: PepsiCo Foundation (BDPA Cleveland)

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) partnered with BDPA Cleveland chapter to send a 'letter of inquiry' (LOI) to the PepsiCo Foundation. We wanted permission to request funding for the youth education programs hosted by the chapter in Northeast Ohio.

We're disappointed to report that our LOI was turned down. PepsiCo Foundation wrote:
"Thank you for your Letter of Interest seeking a grant from the PepsiCo Foundation. Unfortunately, given the Foundation’s current priorities and commitments, we will not be able to support your program. Best wishes for continued progress in the important work you do."
Although this is a set-back to the fundraising efforts of BDPA Cleveland chapter ... it is not going to stop us from continuing our work to provide science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) training for high school students ... and we may even keep drinking Pepsi products on occasion!
