Celebrating Our Past and Soaring into Our Future (New Jersey)

BDPA New Jersey Chapter is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization organized to contribute to the development of professionals in the Information Technology industry and to extend this knowledge and experience to others in their respective communities.

The Newark-based chapter is committed to delivering IT excellence to its members, strategic partners and community. By all accounts, BDPA New Jersey is one of the most prominent professional organizations in the state.

As such, I was honored to be contacted by the chapter to provide the keynote address at their annual awards banquet. The chapter will celebrate its past and share its vision for the future while recognizing sponsors and individuals who have dedicated their time and resources to BDPA programs and services. The theme of this event is "Celebrating Our Past and Soaring into Our Future".

Click here to purchase tickets for the banquet. Admission includes hors d'oeuvres at the reception as well as a gourmet meal at the banquet. Cash bar available. This is a corporate attire event.

All - BDPA New Jersey chapter did a wonderful job at their annual banquet. Honors and recognition provided to members, sponsors and students. I will post a list of all 2008 award winners from the chapter later this week.

Denise Holland (national president), Earl Pace (founder), Monique Berry (Philly), Judaea Lane (New York), Karen Smith (No. Delaware) all represented well at the banquet.

Chief Information Officers from PSEG and Prudential were at the banquet.

It was a remarkable event. Much love to MaryAnn Jackson for being the event coordiantor.

I must say, New Jersey delivered a fine event. I really enjoyed socializing with the NJ members, sponsors and supporters. I was great to see Judea and Karen as well.

Also attending from Philadelphia were Curtis Jenkins, Immediate Past President; Eileen Gadsden, VP of Strategy & Planning, Norm Fleming, Philadelphia Corporate Advisory Council and Kirk Berry.

We look forward to visiting Jersey again in May at the N.E. Regional HSCC Competition.

Monique - Thank you for the kind testimonial. I had a truly marvelous time in New Jersey last month! It appears that I'll be working with the BDPA Washington DC and Northern Virginia chapter as guest speaker for their joint April 2008 program meeting on 4/24/08.

I also have a feeler from our new BDPA Baton Rouge chapter ... although that might depend on how the LSU Tigers do in the NCAA Women's Final Four (smile)...

peace, Wayne
