Grant Declination: Raytheon Charitable Foundation (Los Angeles)

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) worked with BDPA West Region vice president John Malonson to complete a $750 grant proposal to the Raytheon Charitable Foundation. Our proposal focused on the Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship (SITES) program hosted by BDPA Los Angeles chapter (president, David Malonson). We learned today that our grant request has been denied.

The declination letter read as follows:

Dear Mr. Hicks,

This email is to inform you that Raytheon Community Relations Team has reviewed your grant request for BDPA Education and Technology Foundation, submitted on 10.03.14

It is increasingly difficult to respond to the many requests we receive for deserving and worthwhile programs seeking Raytheon's support and participation.

After careful review, we regret to inform you that Raytheon will not be able to support your request.

Sincerely,
The Raytheon Community Relations Team

We will continue to seek out funding in support of the 2015 SITES program hosted by BDPA Los Angeles chapter. In the meantime, you can help! Please click here and make a secure online donation to the Brandon Gardner Memorial Scholarship Fund that goes to support the college education of a BDPA Los Angeles chapter student.
