James and Kathleen Rutherford Foundation

Jim & Kathy Rutherford

The James A. and Kathleen C. Rutherford Foundation is a supporting organization of the Columbus Foundation. The purpose of the Rutherford Foundation is to support institutions which provide scholarships to deserving or needy students; to provide forms of assistance to organizations serving indigent or underprivileged persons, particularly children; and to support other charitable activities.

This is a funding source that may be of interest to our BDPA Columbus chapter.

Grant Declination: James and Kathleen Rutherford Foundation (BDPA Columbus)

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation learned that our grant proposal submitted earlier this year to the James and Kathleen Rutherford Foundation has been turned down. We asked for funding to support the Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship program implemented by our BDPA Columbus chapter.

We will continue to seek funding to support the programs and services of our BDPA Columbus chapter.   Our hope is that you can take a moment to help us give out college scholarships to BDPA Columbus chapter high school students.

Grant Proposal: James and Kathleen Rutherford Foundation (BDPA Columbus)

BDPA Columbus Computer Camp

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) and BDPA Columbus chapter worked together on a grant proposal to the James and Kathleen Rutherford Foundation. We are seeking $5,000 in support of the Student Information Technology Education and Scholarship (SITES) program taking place in Columbus, Ohio.

We worked with BDPA Columbus chapter VP-Finance Henry Davis to gather the information necessary for the grant proposal. Henry and his chapter are going through the 7-step funding process necessary to partner with BETF on this grant-writing efforts.

You can help BDPA Columbus chapter while we wait to hear from the Rutherford Foundation. Please take a moment to make a secure online donation towards college scholarships for some of the high school students who participate in the BDPA Columbus chapter SITES program.
