Lumina Foundation launches today a series of new digital assets to support the field in reaching
Goal2025. As part of its renewed strategy, the re-designed website incorporates bold colors, informative graphics and new tools to navigate the world of higher education attainment.
“Our online visitors will now experience a more vibrant and seamless view of Lumina Foundation and its deep online resources,” said Juan (Kiko) Suarez, vice president of communications and external affairs. “The new website is much better organized, strengthening the face of Lumina to the world.”
The site is organized to provide quick and direct access to a number of different resources. The features on
luminafoundation.org’s homepage are designed to take advantage a wide variety of formats in which news and information is delivered and to aggregate Lumina mission-critical content in a streamlined fashion. Content is updated frequently on the site, so those who regularly visit can keep up-to-date on news about our grantees and partners—all of whom are working together to make Goal 2025 a reality. New social media features make information easy to access and easy to share.
“We’ve streamlined access to our very rich content, making virtual visits to Lumina Foundation more exciting and informative than ever,” said Suarez. “The theme of the website complements the new logo of Lumina and is presented in a blog-like format that is easier to navigate.”
Lumina Foundation has also released a new
iPhone and iPad application that features data from its
A Stronger Nation through Higher Education report. The app has been specifically designed for browsing and navigating national and state data on higher education attainment rates. This new version of
A Stronger Nation will be updated annually and will document progress toward the Big Goal, as well as the gap between current performance and the need. The report includes individual profiles for all 50 states. Each profile shows the current level of attainment, the rate of improvement in attainment over the past eight years, and the level of increase needed to reach Goal 2025: 60 percent attainment by that year. The Goal 2025 app is available in the
iTunes App Store.
