BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) approved $1,000 funding request submitted by BDPA Baton Rouge chapter. The chapter plans to use the funds "to facilitate travel of students to 2011 conference and issuance of any outstanding scholarships."
BDPA Baton Rouge chapter has been an active partner with BETF in a number of fundraising efforts including employer matching gifts and Crowdrise. The chapter has also been piling up points towards the $25,000 American Honda Foundation grant disbursement. The results of their efforts will be announced at the upcoming National BDPA Technology Conference in Chicago.
BETF appreciates the support of BDPA Baton Rouge chapter leaders. We hope that the other 44 local BDPA chapters follow some of the 'best practices' demonstrated by our Louisiana-based folks!
