Grant Declination: New York Life Foundation (National BDPA)

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) works hard to seek out grant funds to support BDPA programs on a local and national level. Sometimes we are successful, however, more often than not we get turned down. We share the information with you in either case. It is part of our commitment to be transparent to our donors and supporters.

BETF and National BDPA worked together on a $10,000 grant proposal that we submitted earlier this year to the New York Life Foundation. We were disappointed to learn that our request has been turned down.

Here is the declination message that we received:

In response to your recent request, I'm afraid it won't be possible for us to make a contribution to BDPA Education and Technology Foundation.

As I am sure you can imagine, demands far exceed our ability to respond favorable to the many requests we receive each year, and these circumstances have forced us to restrict our giving to a greater extent than we would like.

I'm sorry that we are unable to provide financial assistance, but I'm sure you will understand the reason for our decision.

BETF will continue to seek out funding sources that will smile favorably on our request for funds. Let us know if you have any thoughts or suggestions...
