GE Foundation

GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the General Electric Company, invests in initiatives that improve educational opportunity and strengthen community organizations in GE communities around the world. The GE Foundation's education initiatives seek to address some sobering statistics:
  • In the U.S., only 67 out of every 100 students will graduate from high school on time, and only 18 will end up graduating from college.
  • In India, 40% of 1st grade students drop out by the 5th grade.
  • In Mexico, 90% of students who start school will not get to college.
GE Foundation doesn't accept uninvited grant applications. Therefore, the BDPA Foundation seeks any BDPA chapter that may have unique relationships with GE that might make us eligible for funding from GE Foundation. What say u?
