I am a strong believer in the power of social networking. You can find me on CollectiveX, Facebook, LinkedIn Network and Twitter. In fact, my 15-year old daughter thinks I'm too old to be on Facebook.
Perhaps you are like my daughter. Maybe you have avoided social-networking sites like LinkedIn and Facebook with the excuse that they are the domain of desperate job hunters or attention-seeking teenagers. If so, it’s time to reconsider.
In a world of economic instability and corporate upheaval, savvy professionals epitomize the benefits of brushing up your online image and keeping it polished.

Hi Wayne, Thanks for visiting my site at jclamkin.com. We hope to support our local BDPA by webcasting the program meetings and allowing current/prospective members to experience the wealth of info that is shared during these meetings.
Also, I generally blog at FabulousAndTechfilled.com. Feel free to visit our blog any time!
It's often difficult to convince people of how much connections can be valuable.
I know people who would gladly add you (or even sign up) on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, but not LinkedIn.
Wayne, 3 new sites were added to the About.com Top 10 Employment site list. The 3 new sites are:
www.linkedin.com
www.indeed.com
www.realmatch.com
Lots of ways to get a job online now
JC - Let me know when the webcasting for the BDPA Philadelphia chapter program meetings begin. I would like to share that information with my blog readers as well. OK?
As an aside, I've added your other blog (Technically Speaking...) to the Black Blog Rankings...
Carlo - I appreciate your encouragement. Hopefully our BDPA Foundation blog readers will take you up on your offer!
