The Monster Diversity Leadership Program (DLP) is now accepting applications for its 2011 tour. Since 2002, Monster.com has brought together more than 13,000 college sophomores, juniors and seniors of diverse backgrounds for this unique, three-day weekend event which focuses on leadership and career development and provides attendees with the opportunity to network with some of the top employers in the country.
The cost of room and board is covered by the program sponsors, so attendees only need to pay for their travel expenses – and the DLP offers a $50 travel voucher to attendees who complete the program. This offer is not available for students with F1 visa.
At the DLP, attendees will:
- Collaborate with other high-caliber college students and industry-leading employers such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Freddie Mac, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Space Systems Loral, Target, and Verizon Wireless (Employers’ attendance varies by event).
- Explore topics like leadership, résumé construction, interview skills and workplace diversity through highly collaborative seminars.
- Get a chance to win great prizes. By fully attending any of the Monster DLP events, attendees will automatically be entered for a chance to win an iPad.
- Have the opportunity to win scholarships. More than $90,000 in scholarships were awarded to attendees in 2010.
- Interact and network with the nation’s top employers in a unique setting.
