Grant Award: Sempra Energy ($5,000)

We are very happy to report that BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) received a $5,000 grant award from the Southern California Gas Company, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy.

This grant award was a direct result of the letter of inquiry that BETF and BDPA Los Angeles chapter jointly sent a few weeks ago.

Dear Mr. Hicks:

On behalf of The Gas Company , I'm pleased to enclose a check in the amount of $5,000 in support of the Los Angeles SITES Program which through science and technology will stimulate the interest of young people who come from historically disadvantaged communities. The Gas Company is proud to participate in this program!

Thank you for offering The Gas Company the opportunity to participate. We look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,
Carolyn R. Williams
Community Relations Manager

BETF would like to thank BDPA Los Angeles chapter president John Malonson and past chapter president Angela White-Parker for their support on this funding effort!
