Top 10 BDPA Chapters (Membership, Jul 2010)

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) is very happy to announce that National BDPA VP-Membership Management Mildred Allen contacted us to take advantage of the offer we made last month to fund 100 student memberships.  We are very happy to report that July 2010 marked an increase in membership for the first time in many months!

Membership is the lifeblood of any organization. The 45 BDPA chapters in BDPA-nation average 35 members (up 3 from last month).

BDPA Chicago (president, Pamela Sexton) continues to demonstrate excellence in the area of recruitment and retention of its membership.  This chapter has been #1 in membership for the 39th month in a row.

BDPA Washington DC (president, Perry Carter) made the most remarkable increase in membership over the past month.   The chapter climbed over 10 other chapters to become the second-largest chapter in nation.  This is the highest ranking for our BDPA Washington DC chapter since September 2008!

My hope is that Pamela or Perry will share thoughts on how they are doing so well with membership in their chapter.  If they are reading this post ... please consider sharing some of your insights with us.  OK?
The top ten chapters in terms of membership as of 6/1/2010 are:

  1. Chicago
  2. Washington DC - (jumped 10 places since last month)
  3. Triangle
  4. Philadelphia - (dropped two places since last month)
  5. Atlanta -
  6. New York - (dropped two places since last month)
  7. Los Angeles - (dropped one place since last month)
  8. Southern Minnesota - (dropped one place since last month)
  9. New Jersey
  10. Cincinnati
The top four chapters on this list are in the BDPA Century Club with at least 100 members. BDPA Chicago chapter tops the list with 224 members!

Leave a comment if your chapter isn't listed above. We're happy to tell you where your BDPA chapter is ranked if you want.  In the meantime, we would love to know what you think about membership in BDPA?
